went to look around the industrial estate to repair my central locking. have looked around for a while and have not been able to find one that knows how to repair it. finally found one after asking a couple of shops today.
the mechanic came, unscrew lots of stuff. dismantle the door, dismantle the locking device... in the end, when he finally reached the part that had the problem, he didn't know how to open it. called his boss who started calling around. in the end, the boss told me he has to replace the whole locking unit. it cost s$130.
well, this amount was definitely lower than the s$300-400 i was told sometime back at the petrol kiosk... anyway, there was nothing much i could do but to say ok. so now, i am back in office waiting for the boss to call me. he said 2hrs. i hope nothing goes wrong.
