alternator spoiled

activated the car mechanic to come to my place to replace the battery this morning.

he was professional enough to do a check on the car before he changed the battery. and after running some basic test, including starting my car with his portable battery, he concluded that my car battery was in ok condition. rather, my car couldn't start becos the alternator was spoiled.

in the end, i had to drive my car to the workshop to have it repaired. the whole repair job, complete with the replacement of the alternator cost me sgd260. i supposed the price was ok cos i had told the workshop manager that my car has less than a year left and he sourced for a recon (used, but in good condition - ie. second hand) alternator for me. nice of him and trust him to do this for me. after all, i had used this workshop for more than a decade.

and yes, need to mention that the mechanic was so cute today. he gave me such a super sweet smile and for the first time, i noticed he was rather cute-looking too. when i thanked him for the help when i left the car, i thought i saw him blushing.
