well, have decided to move my blog to an alternate url. was showing my colleagues some stuff online and one of them exclaimed - oh, you have a blog! ok, ok, i shall do a check and see what secrets you have!
her comments took me by surprise and frankly, i was, for that moment, a little uncomfortable. i did not think i showed it but simply brushed her off as i frantically reached for my blog setting to change it from "public" to "private". as i did, she was going around telling my other colleague that my blog is from blogger and that she saw a "66"... it didn't matter if she saw "66" or anything else. what was important to me was that i didn't want to blur the lines between my personal-self and my professional-self. i supposed we are all like onions. we all have our layers of knowns/ unknowns and only allow some layers to be exposed.
once things got a little settled, i decided to change the url and delete whatever online trail that i might have left. and so for now, i shall continue to blog under this url. i will eventually change it back to my previous url, but that will probably be when things get a little more settled. haha... and i am not ruling out the possibility of doing it when i change job.
we'll see...
