racial harmony

had been visiting my nephew at the hospital and it was interesting.

in the ward, there are 3 kids - one chinese (my nephew), one malay and one indian. and judging by their accent, despite the use of their respective ethnic language, i conclude they are singaporeans. and interestingly, the families were was using their own language and singing their own cultural songs/ lullabies (less me as i was "rock-a-by-baby"ing and "row-row-row-your-boat"ing away) and all were happily chatting away. and once a while, glances across the beds were made and nods were exchanged. but all were oblivious of the uniqueness of what was happening - harmony amidst race diversity.

things that we take for granted.

but that's singapore for me!
