nasal cavity scope

i had my nasal cavity scope done this morning. 

frankly, i didn't expect to do it so soon. i thought the appointment was to see the ent specialist, but next thing i knew, i was called into a room that looked like a dentist's consultation room. was made to sit on a chair and the doctor asked me about my family's medical history...

any member of your family has cancer?  yup, my dad

where was the cancer? liver

any of your family has asthma? yes, my brother, and i

and so on...

and then he explained to me what he would be doing. frankly, i was familiar with it cos i had my nasal cavity scope done some 5-6 years back when i was about to leave service. next thing i knew, he sprayed some numbing agent into my nostril. i felt it enter my nasal cavity and ewww, it tasted bitter. and then he did the scope. i didn't want to watch him do it and closed my eyes throughout the procedure. heh heh... this was such a contrast to the last time i did cos i was curious and observe the doctor through the whole process. thinking about it, i realised as i get older, i tend to be a little more apprehensive about medical treatments...

anyway, the procedure was over in no time and he told me there was no growth nor anything that would suggest nose cancer. nonetheless, he would still need me to go through a skin allergy test in a months time... and with this, he issued me a day's rest at home and i left the clinic. i was glad for the mc cos i sneezed quite a bit and my nose was superbly runny for a long while after that. 

it was an interesting day.
