painful little toe

about 3 weeks ago on a saturday, i kicked the leg of my bed frame inadvertently as i walked into the room. the hit was so hard i had to squat down for a moment. i was wincing in pain! but of course, after a minute or so, the pain on my right small toe became a lot more tolerable and i didn't really bothered about it. this despite the fact that the right small toe had swell up by almost 50%. i didn't really notice the pain through the weekend.

monday came and i happily wore my work leather shoes. and next thing i knew, i was grimacing in pain again. my right small toe was so painful i had to limp to work. it was really bad. and i had to end up not wearing my shoe and walk around in my socks the whole day. i decided to wear flip flops to and during work for a couple of days after that.

as of today, the pain is still there. the pain may get a lot worst when i wear my leather shoes over a prolong period of time. otherwise, if i leave my right small toes in the open, i do not actually feel the pain. well, what became clear to me after the first initial few days was that i had had a fracture on my right small toe.

and from what i know and what i have observed of people who fractured their small toes, there is really nothing the doctors can do about it. all they can advise is - rest and don't wear shoes… and that is what i am doing. most of the time.
