i have been buying yoko yoko for mum very often recently. she would use this for her bad knee and she had found it very effective for her pain management. her usage has increased tremendously recently given that she also used it for lots of other issues including headache, neckache, backache, sore muscles la la la... yup, you name it you have it. as long as it is an ache, her answer would be yoko yoko! i think if she is any younger, she could possibly be the poster girl for yoko yoko! and she can finish a large 82ml bottle in about 4-5 days! each bottle costs me about 7plus to 8 bucks (depending on whether it is the normal or odourless version) and that means a lot of monies used for it! hmm... so i did what i think most auntie would do. i applied for a watson card and shop at changi airport t3. i can get the points, and i will not be charged for gst. double gain... hurray (so auntie right? heh heh)...she has asked me to top up her stock again 2 days ago. this came almost less than 3 weeks after i bought her 6 bottles! and so, i went back to changi t3 to buy the top up. and just like the last time, their stock was limited. and whenever i buy, i would clear all their stock. this time round, it was no different. then, an idea struck me - why not buy from the agent direct. hmmm. i noted down the contact details and called them today. i asked if they do retail and sells to individuals too. the initial answer was no, they do not do so as they only do bulk sales. so i pursued further and asked whether i could buy from them in bulk if that is what they do. the girl was surprised and asked for me to hold the line. when she got back, she told me they could sell me in units of cartons, each comprising 12 dozen bottles. and she quoted me a price of the carton. based on the price she quoted, i did a quick calculation and found that each bottle would cost me only 6 dollars! this translated to more than a dollar savings per bottle! ha! i ordered one carton immediately much to the girl's disbelief... well, by ordering a carton, it could possibly last mum a year and a half. and so, not only did i save money, it also saves me the efforts to make multiple trips to the pharmacy almost every other month!
