still no calls

today, i tried to contact the hr girl who called me previously to negotiate the package. she was supposed to have called back last week as the md had made the decision on thur. but until today, she has not called. i smsed her at about 3 plus. she did not reply. and so at about 5 plus, i called her handphone. she did not pick up the call too. i called the consultancy management people who told me they will try to contact the vp hr (who is his friend). this lack of response from the hr was rather unsettling. admittedly, i was worried about the clearance process. you see, there was this question about whether i had been charged in court before. from what i know, companies would ask such question to check a person's criminal background. i do not have a criminal record. but i took the blame for a stupid mistake that james did more than a decade ago and was charged in court for that. anyhow, i had asked the hr girl whether car park offences is considered and she said it is a small issue and shouldn't matter. so i ticked no. sighs. the lack of response is making me think of all sorts of possible reasons why they did not get back to me. then again, i told myself, if indeed my 'record' is the issue, i'd simply move on and look for another job. but for now, i shall wait for the consultancy people to get back to me. hmmmm...
