today, i finally took mum to take her photos. and i asked that she take both studio shots as well as standard passport shots. and for both, the studio chap made her pose before taking quite a few shots.
it was an interesting process considering mum has a slightly slanted jawline that made her mouth look a little slanted. couple with this, whenever she smile, her mouth would open. it was funny asking seeing how she tried to smile while trying so hard to keep her mouth close. and to make the whole matter more challenging, due to her chubby cheeks, whenever she smile, her eyes would close. very funny. at one point, the guys asked her to close her mouth, smile, and open her eyes at the same time and she ended up looking like she's gonna kill someone! we all had a hearty laugh during the photo shoot.
well, i will collect the photo tomorrow. decided to print 4r studio shots for all my sis and my bro as a rememberance. also decided to develop a 10"x12" portrait piece for display and selected a frame that is similar to that of my dad's photo. inwardly, we all knew that this would be the photo to be used when she leaves us. so... anyway, she was able to see the shots and select the nicest one to be enlarged.
