final deal?

got a call from the management consultancy people telling me that from their contacts in the company, the md was not too pleased with how the negotiation was going on and had sent a rather strongly worded email to the staff who spoke with me. anycase, he agreed to up the figure a little and indicated that he will not tolerate any further negotiation. he also indicated that the hr would, in all likelihood, call me today to give me the final offer.

it is a good input i must say. there are several ways to look at this - put bluntly, the management consultancy people, the company hr, etc are all more than keen to get me to close the offer so that i can get off their back. also, far as the email is concerned, it is the company's internal issues. as far as i am concern, i have already decided that whatever the outcome, i would accept the offer cos as i have said before, i am not in a good negotiation position. and i need to pay my school fees too... once i get the experience and they still are not keen to pay me better and in accordance to market rates, i can easily move on. by then, i would be in a better position to negotiate for better pay.

let's wait for the call for now!

:-)
