expanded job scope

following my chat with the boss and later, the training director, quite a few exciting developments had occurred. last afternoon, i got a call from the training office asking me to see the director training again for another chat. i did so this morning. and that was when i learned that they had expanded the job scope for me (and i have not even agreed to work for them yet!). the expanded scope would see some 3-4 managers reporting to me with the potential of one more if things go well. so, if i were agreeable with the job scope, he would arrange an interview (as a formality) with his boss and to negotiate the package. i agreed and asked him to please do so. if all goes well, they are hoping that i could start work as soon as possible. hmmm... so rush right? and the job scope sounds one helluva scary. then again, this is a happy problem. never complain if people see you up and want to load you with more things. on the other hand, be worried if people begin to start taking things away from you... as for my reservations about whether they will be informed by my ex-company's security office, well, i think it is not good to constantly remind myself of it. being haunted by my own past is not good for me. the focus is to get the job first. if this should catch up with me, it would be their loss. not mine. :-)
