what a saturday!

yes! what a saturday! bee did not have to do delivery and decided to sent me to my mum's place. we were early and decided to have breakfast first. so, it was breakfast at upper thomson. but well, that was not why the saturday was good. it was good becos went to:

• upper seletar reservoir. it was such a nice break from the usual shopping center, parks, cinema and so on. the whole setting, including the rocket-like viewing tower, was so... retro. yes, the word retro captured the whole scene beautifully. and given that it was a nearly forgotten place, the quiet of the garden and its surroundings, and the vastness of the reservoir felt so surreal.

• kranji war memorial. again, it was bee's first trip there. and i guessed it was a good visit for him. for me, visiting kranji war memorial always has a calming effect on me. i like the peacefulness and the orderly way in which the tombstones were lined. the whole area made me feel very calm.

it's been a long time since i had such an eventful saturday.
