observed qing ming today.
went to pay respects to my dad this afternoon with my mum, my bro, his wife and the domestic help. made my cabbage rice (my dad's favourite) and my brother got some of his favourite food too... kfc, ang koo kueh, huat kueh, fried noodles, and so on...
compared to what we did for his funeral, todays' proceeding was considered simple. then again, to me, qing ming is not about how elaborate we do it, but rather, it is about remembering the deceased, and of course, getting together as a family.
