expectations

the final damage = s$757.25 if the garage had not told me to expect s$800-plus earlier, i would have taken the bill as super high. but with expectation to be charge more than s$800, i actually felt rather good when i got the final bill of s$757.25. and i felt that it was money well spend considering they had change the radiator (or was it only the filter?), and the air con fans. not a mechanic and so i don't know the exact details. but the things they took out and showed me looked pretty huge. and for that size, 700-plus seemed very worth it. haha! such a easily satisfied and shallow person i am. then again, how many of us actually bothered to learn about everything we come across in life? eg how many of us actually go and research about say, motherboards, radiators, air cons, refrigerators, waves, clouds, colours, la la la. haha! ok, back to the car repair. i thought it was worth it! well, my happiness further proved my point that in life, things are all about expectations and perspective. if you have too high an expectation, you will feel disappointed when things do not turn out the way you expect it to, but when you have a very low or no expectations, things will always feel good, even if it turned out not too good. it's the same for payments, it's the same for relationships. ok, shall not be too philosophical about the bill now. it's friday evening. i am waiting for bee to return. and i am hungry. dinner soon! :-)
