second childhood

i decided this title second childhood cos i do observe a lot of similarly between mum and babies. for example, whenever i look into my baby nephew's open mouth and see the toothless gums, i get reminded of mum... haha... but of cos, there is nothing that could beat this.

i brought mum to the bedok hawker center for breakfast yesterday and decided get you char kway for mum. there was a long queue and being afraid of mum getting anxious, i passed my iphone to her and switched on a short video clip of my 3-month old nephew. she looked at it and she started laughing and soon was talking to my nephew in the iphone video. ang-gurrrl ang-gurrrl she cooed happily. soon enough, she got so engrossed in it that she didn't really bothered when i told her i'll leave her alone. in fact, when i came back with her you char kway some 10-15 minutes later, she was still deeply engaged with the video (she had tapped the screen to replay the video non-stop while i was away).

funny right? this is no different from how parents would pass their ipad to their kids to distract them whenever they are busy...

:-)
