locked out of car

last weekend, i was locked out of my own car.

you see, my mum and i had wanted to visit my brother's place and my bro asked me to also pick up a long time family friend along the way. en route, it started raining badly and when we arrived, i decided to wipe dry the car before heading up. and so, i asked my family friend to accompany mum to the house first. when i was done with the drying, i realized the door had self-locked. darned! oh no, oh no, i thought, bee was overseas for work and the only spare key i have was in the car! i tried to pry open the window but it was no use. 

it was then that i recalled my car had previously been broken into during a trip to malaysia and the boot lock had been damaged. i had not repair it cos the lock was still functioning pretty well despite the fact that i could not use the key to lock it anymore. with no other options, i decided to get a screw driver to see if i could unlock the damaged lock with it. and guess what... it worked! hurray!

in the end, i managed to climb into the car via the boot and unlock it. with that experience, i now leave my spare key with my brother. and in a weird way, i was glad my car was broken into before...
