a dinner almost destroyed

met up with natkean for dinner last night. it was our first meet up after corresponding so much over this blog as well as over whatsapp. we arranged to meet after his work and i picked him up at bedok before making our way for a peranakan dinner. heh heh. i took the liberty to order the dishes, ayam buah keluak, chap chye, bakwan kepiting, ngoh hiang complete with lime juice with agar agar. dinner was ok (natkean said it was good) but the company was better. and natkean asked me this interesting question - are you always so caring? - after i scooped some of the dishes for him. i thought i was being courteous. well... we made our way for ice cream (the real one ya) after that at a nearby shopping center. as i parked my car... mum called.

you said your dinner had ended. how come you are still not home!? people came to the house and told me you went out with that person from bedok! never mind, never mind... you bluff me!!!

hmmm... delusion and anxiety working up again. afternoon medication wearing off. it must be. and with that call, the dinner meeting ended soon after. are such abrupt endings to be expected when there is a sick elderly at home? could have been longer. could have had a happy ending (not that type of happy ending hor)... but well, at least there was a chance to meet up.
