been a superbly hectic but meaningful weekend. let's see what i did...
on sat, had a quick breakfast and then brought my mum for her haircut. at the same time, brought my bro, his wife and his mum-in-law to east coast beach. we then had lunch at katong followed by a visit to bright hill temple. the trip too a whole day. in the evening, went to the temple to rehearse for todays' ceremony where i had to make offerings to the officiating monks. and then rushed to pick my friends to celebrate my's birthday... by the time all the events ended, it was past midnight.
and today, it was my sunday school, contact time for teachers, a quick coffee at thomson plaza, and then to the temple for the closing prayers for the seventh month. did the offering and fumbled. the girl who was supposed to signal for us to recover from our prostration did not sound the signal and after that everything went haywire... anyway, we got by. the whole ceremony lasted from 3pm till past 7pm. and it was followed by cleaning the temple, rearranging the furnitures, etc. by the time i had my dinner and returned home, it was past 8pm. so tired. hmmm, now i need to do my ironing(yes! again! argh!), finish up my minutes and then prepare for the new week ahead...
hmmm... such a hectic weekend. but i guess it was time well spent. nothing beats spending time with family, friends and doing volunteer work. hectic but very meaningful.
