sapphie has done it again. i was doing my work last evening when i felt hungry. so, i left my bosses' tender document, my laptop, my note book, some notes as well as some stationary on the table and went out for dinner with bee. we returned a couple of hours later.
when i opened the door, sapphie dashed out of the house. she seemed panicky. it was a clear sign that something was very wrong. i looked into the house and i saw a mess of torn paper on the floor. my first thought was, oh no! did sapphie destroy my bosses' tender documents. i sifted through the paper and gladly, found my bosses' tender document fully intact. only my note book was totally torn and messed up. as for bee, his reaction was totally different. he got angry straight away. sapphie, by now, was outside the house and nervously wagging her tail, ears folded back. and she had that scared and nvervous look in her eyes. bee scolded her and slapped her backside for messing the house up.
i didn't get angry with sapphie. this response of mine was so different from what i did over 9 years ago. i told bee not to scold sapphie. she is, afterall, a dog. and she was simply doing what a dog loves to do. and if there was anyone to be blamed, it would be me. for i had not left the book on the table within the reach of sapphie, these things would not have happened. sensing safe haven, sapphie came into the house and ran to me. she sat down beside me and whimpered. and as she whimpered, she held up her paws asking me to console her, to sayang her. she felt insecure.
dogs, dogs...
sighs...
