thoughts abt traveling

just done with my packing and the following are some things that i am bringing for the first time in my life for a holiday!
  • a thermometer for daily temperature checks.
  • masks to wear as a prevention from contracting h1n1 (come to think of it, they might probably be more fearful about getting the bug from us than us them!).
also, the following went thru my mind as i pack...
  • will i get awkward stares when i wear mask during flight?
  • should i take 2 panadol tablets before i fly so that if (touchwood), if, and really if, i have a fever, it would be suppressed?
  • will i get thru immigration checks faster if we were to wear our masks? hmmm... or perhaps, they will demand that we take off our mask to verify that we are not terrorists! or hmmm, should i give a slight cough here and there... hmmm, better not! might just end up being quarantined!
  • is 1 mask per day sufficient?
  • should i err on the safe side and pack more winter wear (brrr, i know i have the tendency to overpack!)?
hmmm... well, let's just hope for the best. the one single thing i am most fearful about is to get quarantined in an australian hospital after touching down!

touchwood! touchwood! touchwood!

Did you and Bee go for a influenza jab?
You might not be able to purchase tamiflu but a flu jab would helps to prevent you from other seasonal flus. As this hyper-stage, any flu or fever will be deem as H1N1 potentials and offered VIP treatment. By right, the jab should be a week earlier.
Anyway, have an enjoyable trip!

don't worry too much abt getting flu lah. even sg is relaxing on the flu thingy. just enjoy your holiday.

we are just paranoid... caused by the media hype.

i think so too... ha ha... suddenly i found myself so acutely aware of people around. and when they cough, you can see sgporeans looking around and behaving like as tho they have h1n1.

Yes Gav, Thanks!
We managed to get our flu jab done. Then again, we drove around so much and one thing we realised - our itinerary was such that it would be so difficult to catch anything from anyone cos we were on the road most of the time and the only people we came into contact with significantly over the past 8 days were we ourselves!
