computer down!

my home desktop has been giving me a lot of problems since it got infected with an msn worm last year. and last evening, it went kapoot! argh! blue screen! that was the dreaded thing that i had feared. despite multiple tries to reboot the system, it kept giving me the blue screen. and for a moment, i feared my hard disk was corrupted and that i had totally lost my desktop (and all my data!). finally, decided to do something that pained me. i reformated my hard disk. reckoned that if i had lost the harddisk, i would have lost all my data anyway. but i was glad i managed to get it up after reinstalling the os and applications. and that was when i realized i had lost the installation disk for my wireless card. hmmm, so for the next couple of days until i get a replacement, i will have to rely on my office laptop to access the net and clear the mail... tricky cos i will be clearing leave soon!

hmmmm...

ps: luckily the data i lost was limited cos i had backed-up my data sometime late last year... whew!
