am on off these two days. thought i'd better claim it before i run out of opportunities to claim it (due to excess leave). well, of cos, i have not reached that state of affairs yet. and it's nice to be able to take a break from work during weekdays and do nothing and just stay at home. do housework, watch tv, do laundry, sweep the floor, mop the floor, read a book, play with dog... whatever...
:-)
ps: taking off days from work used to be perceived as `bad attitude'. to do more is to be expected when one is in senior positions. that was my thinking too and i would not claim my off-in-lieus even if i work on weekends or public holidays. but today, i think it is stupid and pure rubbish! if you don't take, no one will say you have good attitude towards work. conversely, people may even think quietly that you are just plain stupid and on the wrong ball! and i think so too!
