my bro again

all these while, my bro has been using my name and my cdp account to buy/ sell shares. he did this in order to escape being found out by `people' out there for earning profits and to escape being taxed. i have previously voiced my displeasure about it and he has stopped. yesterday, when i went back to marine parade. my mum asked me to help collect the mails. amongst the mails were bank statements for my brother, my cdp account statement issued by cpf for me, motorbike routine checks by vicom addressed to my late dad, property-related letters addressed to my late dad, and so on.

looking through them, it told me something - that my brother has been dragging his feet trying not to settle the property admin. he seemed pretty secretive about settling the house admin following my dad's demise. it's coming to a year and i think very soon the authorities gonna get to him. also, that he has not been too transparent about using my cdp account for trading shares.

anyway, after dropping my mum off, the domestic helper left the mails addressed to me in my car. i thought it was just natural for her to do so cos the letters were addressed to me. but today, my mum called me telling me that she had had a good and long scolding by my brother for leaving the letters with me. he had told her he would be calling me to demand for the letters to be returned to him.

my mum sounded a little scared and worried. she told me not to tell him that she had told me about it and that i should also not mention anything about it to him. it was rather disturbing. first, he shouldn't be using my name to do share trading. secondly, why scold my mum when it was his own doing in the first place? then again, knowing my brother, it is better to leave the matter as it is. my mum is staying with him. he had left her hungry and thrown her out of the house once before. i cannot afford to let him do the same again this time round.

Here i am, being very very kay poh but from the sound of it, why don't u have yr mum stay with u? (Maybe u have yr reasons for not doing this, but it's clear that u are very fiial to yr mum ... certainly much more than yr bro)

And start to confront him with the irregularities. All the letters were addressed to u & are YOUR property.
