had just sent sapphie to the boarding house.
she was prancing around when i brought her out of the house. she looked so happy. perhaps she was thinking i was going to bring her to play. at the boarding house, she was led to a small enclosure. she resisted going in for a short while and i had to prod her along. the indian worker locked the door and i walked out to do the necessary administration and paperwork.
before leaving, i went back to say goodbye to her. when she saw me from afar she was jumping high and low. and when i stroked her from outside the door, she whimpered none stop. it was so heartbreaking. i felt like crying.
