am not christian and do not celebrate christmas per se. but since singapore is a multi-racial, multi-religion country, the christmas break is enjoyed by all regardless of race and religion. and the following are some of the reasons why this year's christmas is different, and in a big way, special to me:
- i received a card from hwee2. she's a uni classmate of mine. married to a french and migrated to france many years back. and i've just received a christmas card from her. enclosed in the card was a compilation of french songs. very nice.
- also, i received another christmas card from karsten from jb. somhow, the feeling i get when i receive cards are so different from say emails or e-cards... not so sure how to describe it. but i just feel so warm.
- for the first time, schneider, bee, my uni friends and i decided to dress up and go for a good expensive christmas dinner. altho it cost me over a thousand dollars, we certainly had a lot of fun dressing up, eating dinner at jaan on top of the raffles swissotel hotel and then exchanging presents at the hotel lounge!
- i will be going away for christmas for my short break.
merry christmas
everyone!
everyone!
