polished!

today is the last day of my renovation and it's floor polishing day! after 5hours of wet grinding, the floor looked so so so beautiful! i even felt guilty stepping on it! and well, sapphie had her issues too! she tried walking around the newly polished floor and slipped a couple of times! so funny! interestingly, while the treatment and varnishing rooms saw the removal of marks created by james and my parents, the key thing that was removed as a result of the floor polishing was scratches as well as the patches of vomit/ pee stains left by sapphie over the years! these were stains that i have so so resigned myself to following sapphie's entry into the family in 2000.

anyway, i am so glad the whole renovation works was so smooth and the results is just fantastic! the floor now looks and feels like when i first took over the house in 1998!
