my contractor called me up and tell me he'll collect the remaining payment tomorrow... and thinking it's saturday, i told him to come after 10am cos i'll be going marketing... hahaha! such a boo-boo for me! anyway, will leave it as it is, think bee bee can pass him the cheque in my absence. for a while, i forgot i have made a car servicing appointment at the kia servicing center at 7.30am!
anyway, the whole renovation works had finally completed. been an eventful week! from applying permit, clearing and varnishing the rooms, to painting the whole house and polishing the marble flooring, it's been one good (and very tiring) experience after another! of course apart from having interesting contractors and listening to their rantings, this whole process also gave me time to reflect on the years i'd stayed in this house, the time spent here and the different people (and even my dog) that have stayed; and the few that have left. and with each improvement done, physical traces left behind by these residents were slowly and surely removed. but what will forever be remembered are the fond memories of them... james, my mum, my dad, sapphie... and for that matter even bee bee - for he played a key role in this house renovation!
the result of this whole effort is something that looks almost brand new. and yes, it also tells me that it is time to look forward and charge ahead again!
