painting

the paint works starts today and will last till tomorrow. today, they will cover both the bedroom and the guest room. and tomorrow, they will cover the corridor, living room and the utility room.

as of now, they have painted the ceiling and applied the base coat of paint onto the walls. later this afternoon, they will paint at least two layers of paint onto the walls. i have chosen bluebell white for the room. basically it is white with a little hint of blue/green. certainly gives a breathe of freshness to the rooms. so far, with only an initial layer, it already looks gorgeous!

for the living room, i have chosen lily white for 3 of the 4 faces of the walls (right). basically it is white with a hint of yellowish earthy tones. think this colour meets the overall intent of making the living room bright yet calm. also, from my limited knowledge in feng shui, i should avoid green / blue tones as they clash with my fire elements. so an earthy tone should compliment with my fire elements very well.

for the main face, i have chose ivory (left). a shade darker than the lily white, yet not to the point as to darken the room. looking at the outcome, i could have chosen something darker. then again, it doesn't matter! what's more important is that the living room looks bright and larger!
