iphone

i have switched over to using the mac and iphone since 2012. and really, although the products are good in terms of its interface, apps, integration, etc, i really cannot say the same for the hardware and the rate of it failing in small small areas...

since i started using iphone in apr 2012, i have had my phone replaced by the service center 3 times. and all these occurred during the first year of use. well, granted that of these 3 times, there was once where the issue was due to my mishandling. but i had issues like the volume dropping off, the person over the phone cannot hear me, and the phone dying without and rhyme or reasons. and lately, my touchscreen seemed totally unresponsive and the screen seemed to zoom in by itself! these latest two issues were most disruptive!

how my phone screen looked it
for the first issue, it felt like as though the phone suffered a stroke and one part of the screen became numb and cannot feel the touch! gosh! at times, i cannot seemed to type my words properly and the screen would hang when i touch any letters on the lower right hand side of the screen. and at times, when i touch the letter "b", "n" or "m", the text disappeared as the iphone went on a self destruction backspace!!! and i swear blind my fingers are not that fat! hehe... but of cos, as human beings, we learn fast and soon i learned that once the phone hang, i just need to touch the top left side of the touch screen to release it. it was rather irritating... i finally solved the issue when i got so irritated and decided to try rebooting the phone! and secondly, the screen on the phone has this habit of suddenly exploding into my face! well, not literally. what happen was that i often pick up my phone, switch it on and find the screen to have expanded and zoomed to the point where i can only see a portion of it as shown in the picture (no, it is not a cropped picture) and the best (or worst) part was, i cannot unzoom it nor could i navigate the screen by swiping it. instead, i had to forced switch it off and on it again before it returns to normal! terrible right?

let's hope these issues do not happen again soon! (then again, if it does, it would give me perfect reasons to change my phone!) perhaps this has been how apple products have been designed. to fall apart after one year so that consumers would head back to upgrade the hardware!
