crowded place!

i took the public transport to visit mum earlier. and on my way home, i decided to drop by the bedok mall to grab a small bite for my late lunch. it was a newly opened mall and had been built over a bus interchange.

it was close to 3pm when i arrived and i had a rude shock. the mall was fully packed. there was hardly any good walking space for me to walk comfortably. also, every single cafe, restaurant, kiosk, etc were all maxed out and there were even queues outside these eateries! wtf! how the hell did bedok become so crowded? i have never experienced such crowds in bedok before and i half suspect many people came from outside bedok area. and admittedly, i felt a little claustrophobic. i wanted to get out of the mall quickly. i have never felt like this for a long time.

i felt so very relieved when i eventually found the exit and decided to head to the hawker center. and i had my second shock. the whole hawker center was also filled with people. there were also queues everywhere, even at the humble chwee kueh stall! eeeeeee! i did not bother to stop and just walked and walked before i finally decided to buy a simple pow and coffee at the coffee shop…

haiz…
