i wanted to head down to ikea to purchase some picture frames for my office when i received a call from a long time friend. he has been based overseas for the last decade and had just returned for a business trip and he wanted to arrange a meet up for a meal sometime. oooh, such good timing too i thought… and i ended up having dinner with him at ikea!
and aiyoh… despite being a monday, ikea was totally packed! well, the ikea eatery, that is. the queue extended all the way to outside and the tables were all filled. and for the few that was unoccupied, they were reserved by people who placed all sorts of things on it - tissues, umbrella, bags, and so on… and i was like - omg! how could this be right? it's not like as though ikea has top notch 5-star food! sighs… then again, when i thought about it, what right do i have to talk about people when i myself was there for dinner!?
