here's something else that was very meaningful on this uneventful birthday of mine. bee got me a durian cake and we celebrated the event at the strike of 12 midnight. nice? yes of course! and this evening, we (bee, mum and i) had buffet dinner at one of the local hotels. several things happened that threatened to destroy the dinner and/ or prevented it from happening, eg mum went a bit cranky, traffic jams, lateness, getting to a wrong location, etc... but well, with a lot of patience and good humor, all's well that ends well...

thanks thanks! haha... calling me kor kor makes me sound a little younger la... these days even the market ah sohs and ah mas all also call me uncles lo...
and oh, the food was very nice. too bad i was not too hungry. so in the end only ate part of the spread of yummies... would probably head back there again some time.
