frankly speaking, mum's hospitalization is kinda a mental break for me.
you see, when she is hospitalized, i am assured she is looked after by professionals and need not worry about her well-being, i can go out of the house any time i want without worrying about whether she will go mental (she gets suspicious when i leave the house, even for a few minutes), i can go anywhere in the house, and do what i want without having her questioning me where i was and what i was doing... in short, i get my mental break from mum.
i know it does not sound right, and i do feel a little guilty about it sometime back. but have come to reconcile with it. caregivers also need breaks from their charges.
