during the 6 months when i was not working, i took mum out for walks very often. and most of the time, it would be to the beach, as well as to parks. one of the park that i had brought mum to before was the business park behind my condo. it was a half-developed business park and the other half was vacant and very popular with nearby residents. families would have picnics, walk their dogs as well as exercise there.
once, i drove my car there, stopped my car by the side of the road (a double yellow lined road for reasons unknown - double line means no parking at all), brought down the wheelchair and wheeled mum for a walk, with sapphie on the leashed. before i walked far, a traffic warden came. he was on his motorbike and he rode up to the front of my car. once he stopped, he shouted at me ooi, you cannot park here, move your car now! he demanded as he stood with his arms crossed and looked at me like i was a criminal. i was taken aback by his shouting but decided to just move off. i wheeled my mum back to the car as he continued to stand there and told me to hurry up or he'll book me. people around saw what he did and was rather shocked... i guessed they were shocked (as i was) to see a traffic warden behaving like that to someone pushing a wheelchair and holding a dog on leash.
i simply did what he said and left the place. decided to simply keep quiet about it.
i soon forgot about it. until yesterday...
hah...
