this morning, i had an "omg-moment". i got an email from someone. and it was not just anyone, but someone from my primary school! yup! primary school! that was like almost 40 years ago! in his attempt to reconnect with old friends, he had googled my primary school name and eventually found his way to my blog. and despite my not reflecting too much of my name in this blog, he managed to deduce my identity! heh heh...
but i must confess. initially, i felt a little bewildered. the email i received had a name that comprised an english name and a surname. the structure of the name and the name itself did not click. in fact, such names were not very common during those days. but when i opened and read the email, the sender identified himself and spelt out his full chinese name. and he went on to mention a couple of other names, i was like - omg omg omg... these were names from my distant past! and for that moment, i had lots of flashbacks! i felt like a little boy all over again! haha!
i replied the email quickly and by afternoon, we had exchanged our numbers and spoke over the phone. man! it felt good.
