got the photo of my eldest niece (daughter of my eldest sis) in her wedding gown from my second sis. felt so happy to see it. i think it was a photo shoot session. her wedding is the first amongst the next generation in my family. such a joy! seeing the photo makes me smile! she looked so pretty! it seemed not too long ago when i carried her in my arms and rocked her to sleep! and she's getting married soon! haha... nonetheless, i am not sure whether the wedding had actually taken place. but i suspect not cos i also learned that my eldest sis will not be inviting me nor my second sis to the wedding dinner. not sure about my second sis, but for me, it is cos my eldest sis has this grudge against me for not converting dad to christianity before he died. well...
whatever the case, the tensions of my generation should not translate to unhappiness for the next generation. not getting invited for the dinner is no big deal, what's key is that my niece will be getting married and i feel so very happy for her!
wish her the very best in her life and that she will be happy forever!

Congrats to your niece. Too bad your sister isn't Christian enough to forgive old grudges since family events are meant for reunions.

think there are things that we continue to hold and begrudge without realizing that in the process we end up suffering ourselves.
but well, it is her choice.
