since the start of this year, i have changed my weekly routine... this was, in part, due to my resolution to lead a more balanced life with more time for myself, but also in view of mum's change in behavior. she now resists going out and prefers to stay at home. me, on my part, would also try to get her to be desensitized to me leaving the house. so, i make sure i leave the house daily for my exercise in the evenings (even if it was to do nothing but some push ups)... yup, as a result, my routine has changed.
weekdays
# to leave the room no earlier than 0910 to minimize interaction with mum and to prevent her from asking too much question about whether i leave the house the night before

similar routines largely, and as usual, need lotsa preparations for mum if there are any deviations (eg to attend a dinner). in a large way, the time is more spread towards me compared to the previous routine. and i try to make more time to go out to meet up with friends/ bee for dinners, etc. in addition, bee and i would meet up whenever i head out for breakfast/ meals.
on repeat mode...

It was so dull
haha... u are so right steve. very dull... hahaha... and i am sure as a nurse, you will also agree that such dullness and routines are important for dementia patients... little things off the normal routines will upset them and make them confuse.
