visited my mum at the hospital in the evening. was briefed by the surgeon managing my mum. during the scope, the doctor found up to 7 huge ulcers in the stomach. when i saw the photos, i was shock! i could even feel the pain just looking at the photos! was told that the ulcers had stopped bleeding. however, the doctors were not able to give any comment on the cause of the ulcers. some tissues had been taken out and sent for biopsy. will have to wait further for the results. for now, at least the doctors were able to identify the cause of the problems and have started giving her medications to tackle the ulcers. mum should be able to take some liquid food in 2 to 3 days.
