dad visited the national cancer center and the doctor confirmed that he has cancer. however, his deterioration in his health was not due to cancer. instead, it was due to liver cirrhosis. and the doctor also added that given his age, it would be wise not to do anything. not to the liver, not to the cancer. that means, let it be and let it slowly eat the life away. accordingly, in not doing anything, it might just allow dad to at least live a couple of months peacefully and without pain.
