got a surprise call from the hospital today. was told that my mum could be discharged. this the shortest hospitalisation i have experienced for her. apparently, they did some scan for her, took a total blood count, some other test, gave her lots of injections and concluded that she was not suffering from stroke and that the scan of her brain did not show anything to be concerned about.
and since she has stabilised and is feeling less giddy, she has been given the green light for discharge. so, happily, i went to pick her, visited my dad, and then brought her out for dinner and home. finally settled her down to her routine, briefed and packed her medications for her and then left home to discuss about the domestic help issue with my brother and brother-in-law.
