thinking about the dead

a friend's dad recently passed away. i could understand how he felt through the final few weeks. it brought back memories of my dad's final days too. and reading his blog today, i concluded one thing - that when a person passed on, he (or she) doesn't really leave us per se. his body may be gone, but he lives on in our hearts. forever. and ever. as long as we want to remember him. it's the same for my friend and his dad. it's the same for me and my dad, and my cousin, and my aunt, and everyone i know who had passed away...

Going through my old blogs I found your comment which led me to your blog. It's the best Singapore blog I have read yet - honest, realistic and in parts moving. Some bloggers really dont have anything to say - you do have. It is an interesting account of an ordinary person's navigation through the joys and sorrows of ordinary life. Unfortunatly I have difficulities understanding abbreviations like isfj, bmt, cmpb, etc. Anyway, keep blogging.

Thank you for reading my blog and sharing your comments Bhante. Am honoured. I will try (to remember) to use less abbreviations henceforth :-)

For now, well, `bmt' refers to basic military training, `cmpb' refers to 'central manpower base', `isfj' is one of the personality types as defined in the myers-briggs type indicator personality matrix. the 'i' refers to introversion, 's' refers to sensing, 'f' refers to 'feelings', and 'j' refers to 'judging'.

Once again, thanks!
