vegetarian dog

i started sapphie on the vegetarian hypo-allergenic food diet today. was supposed to slowly wean off the other animal-based version but since i had totally ran out of it, i had no choice but to give her the new vegetarian-base diet straight away. when i poured the dried food into the bowl, i was rather shock to see cream-coloured pallets dropping out of the bag. for a while, i thought they looked like white chocolate! and they don't have the typical pong that typical animal-based food carry. what was even more surprising was that sapphie came, took a look, a quick sniff and ate it straight away. it's so weird! she actually took to it like fish to water! and she did not even hesitate.

anyway, following the vet's advice, i started to give her more fruits. i gave her an apple in the evening. and just a while ago, i got another surprise, i gave her papaya and she ate it too! so many firsts today! let's hope she doesn't get diarrhea tonight!
