mum will be undergoing her total knee replacement op again in two day's time. this is to replace her old knee given that it has already worn out as it has been more than 10yrs since it was fixed. despite her age, it's a no choice op given that she is in real pain and that an increased dosage of painkiller will also affect her other organs yet not give her the relieve she seeks. so, after resisting op for so long, she finally accepted it and agreed to undergo the procedure.
the op will happen in 2 days' time. and given the h1n1 control measures, only 4 registered persons will be allowed to visit her. so, after registering my bro, the maid, my sis and my bro-in-law, that means i will not be able to see her until after she is discharged from the hospital.
and i can see that mum has been getting increasing very worried about the op these last couple of days. she kept relating that her friend died during the second op. well, i guess i have to keep assuring her that things will be ok and that she should hopefully be able to experience less pain after the op.
