am reposting this here. prayers for bobby is a tragic story based on the true events of bobby griffith - a gay teenager who could not get the necessary support from his family, particularly his mother, and committed suicide in the end. superb acting by sigourney weaver. you can read the synopsis of the tv movie here.
this film made me cry. it brought back lots of memories. it reminded me of the time when i tried to commit suicide. and i was glad i took the right path.

it's a tv movie that was premiered on the lifetime network on 25 jan this year. you can read about the background of this story in the wiki link that i had in the post. i first saw the movie couple of months back and have watched it a couple of times since. watch it if you have not.
