it's a happy and sad day.
early this morning, brought my mum to haircut and perm. she was very excited and happy. need to do this before she goes for her op tomorrow. she'll be admitted tomorrow at 10am and the op is expected to start at 2pm. and so, as a treat before her op, i brought her to eat the east coast prawn mee and the ngoh hiang after her perm. could see she was very excited and enjoyed the meal.
then again, it was a sad day cos i learnt from my mum that my uncle (my father's brother-in-law) passed away last afternoon. shocking news cos he has all along been very healthy. understood that he passed away without any sickness or signs and that he was taken away after easing himself in the toilet. sighs... then again, it was a good thing that he left us peacefully. may he rest in peace.
i guessed i have come to the age where my dad's generation will slow leave us. just in this last one year, i've had to attend 3 funerals - my dad, my cousin, and now, my uncle.
the tide of time is really pushing my generation upwards. i can feel it.
