my new boss came to the office yesterday. and he came in just when my colleague and i had a tiff. i supposed it was not a good start cos the impression he had was that we were at loggerheads and that the team was not cohesive. it was the first time such a thing happened and it had to be witnessed by my new boss! haha...
so that was the wrong impression that was created. and naturally, he stated his displeasure with me and my lack of maturity in my burst. well, this perhaps marked the bad start for me with my new boss. my hour-plus conversation with him seemed full of conflicting signals. he came in, shared that his target for the department is to win national awards within 2-3 years. and that he hope to be able to allocate new areas for me to manage, which was ok to me except that he added that in small companies, if people don't want to accept new responsibilities, they could be told to leave. now, i wondered if he was hinting to me anything and if this was a result of his bad impression of me when he walked in.
anyway, after the conversation with him, i felt the need to start my job search again. i don't know, i just have this very uneasy feel with him.
