sapphie the vegetarian dog

something interesting happened yesterday. i was on my way to my blood test when bee called me. he was rather furious. apparently, when he reached home after breakfast, he realized sapphie has stolen into my room again. and she chewed up a book i recently bought.

it was so similar to another incident when she was a small puppy. that time, i got furious and i gave her a really good trashing. a trashing that shaped her fears through her whole dog-life and it was a trashing that until today, i regret and felt guilty about. i had allowed my anger to take control of me and i had inflicted on her disproportionate amount of sufferings. anyway, back to yesterday...

i listened to bee and i calmly told him it was ok. she is a dog after all and that she was simly doing what a dog would do. sniff sniff sniff, got curious, got into the room and chewed up the book. well, i guessed she sniff her way into the room becos it smelled of my scent. and she ended up chewing the book becos it smelled good. heh heh... and considering she had been eating a lot of fruits, vegetables, and vegetarian dog pellets, the book probably smelled like food to her! so, thinking about it, i asked bee to pour some dog food for her. she must have done what she did becos she was hungry...

so funny right? hungry vegetarian dog ended up eating my book!
