was "volunteered" by my department to purchase tickets for the local toto draw. there's a s$10 million prize money to be won and everyone said people born of the horse year tend to have better luck… so, yours truly here got "volunteered" as a result. and becos i have never bought any toto ticket before, i have the beginners' luck too, so they claimed.

and each person in the department contributed s$5 to the pool. and one of my colleague went to the extend of writing down exactly how to buy. s$48 of system 7 bet and s$12 of normal bets. of cos, yours truly here, who have never bought toto tickets before walked into the shop feeling totally lost and simply handed over the paper (with instructions from my colleagues) to the cashier and told her to do what she needed to do according to the instructions. she stared at it, punch some numbers and handed me a total 8 tickets. heh...

and the draw happened last night. and...

we did not win any prize. 

so much for the beginners'  horse luck.
