superficiality

there was an article in a local news tabloid and i felt it was a tat too shallow for me… citing some studies, the article said good cyclists tend to be better-looking than people who participate in other sports. hmmm, statistics regardless, my experience tells me the statement is not true! to me, such studies, regardless of how scientific the authors claimed, are disputable for there are always areas that are subjective including sample size, where the sampling is done, definition of good-looking, and so on.

and i can dispute that claim cos for a start i know many not-too-good looking cyclist! (or maybe they are just not "good" enough?) heh… also, if i may just shallowly add - i do know good-looking weightlifters, extreme sports enthusiasts, swimmers, gymnasts, divers, la la la... and they are definitely much hotter than the cyclists i know!

ps: i posted this in my facebook and jason (of old new journey) commented. i absolutely love his comment. he simply said "you are absolutely fugly" yet sounded so smooth about it! this was his comment: "not true!!! one can have good endurance yet is with a face that only a mother can love!!! hahaha"
