well, that was what my mum, a true blue nonya, looked like when she was in her 20s... back then, wearing kebaya was very much in fashion and considered trendy. and till today, she still insists that as a deep respect to the culture, she must observe very specific decorum when it comes to the kebaya, that she must have the figure to carry the kebaya and she must gelek when she wears it. otherwise, she will not do it...
